If you need to apologize to someone for something you did or didn&#8217;t do, said or didn&#8217;t say, for example, first take a long time to think about the situation. Admit your guilt first to yourself because in America or when dealing with Americans, you must appear genuine in your apology. There&#8217;s nothing more frustrating to an American than someone who apologizes insincerely. If a person really isn&#8217;t sorry for something that happened, why is she or he apologizing? It&#8217;s insulting to receive an insincere apology and makes the situation even worse.
