美国可能寻求联合国辩论朝鲜铀项目

A senior U.S. diplomat says the United States will seek an opportunity to challenge North Korea's right to a uranium enrichment program at the United Nations.

美国一位高级外交官说，美国将寻求机会，在联合国挑战朝鲜实施铀浓缩项目的权利。

James Steinberg, the deputy secretary of state, said during an interview in South Korea Wednesday that North Korea is "not entitled to a uranium enrichment program even though they claim it is for peaceful purposes." Steinberg said the U.S. government will look for every opportunity, including at "the Security Council and elsewhere to address this."

美国国务院副国务卿斯坦伯格星期三在韩国时接受采访时表示，朝鲜无权进行铀浓缩项目，尽管平壤宣称它是用于和平目的。他说，美国政府将寻求每一个机会，包括在“联合国安理会以及其他地方来处理这个问题”。
