Two days ago, one of my senior high school classmates phoned me and wanted to borrow some money from me! You can hardly imagine how awkward I was at that time, because I am short this week! 朋友打电话要借点钱，我很尴尬，因为我没钱，这次我们来讨论一个这方面的话题！

1) I am short this week! 我这个星期手头很紧。

Just now, in the introduction of our today's program, Andy has referred to this sentence: I am short this week! 在这个句子里面short=inadequate in，在某个方面不足，那么这里指short of money，没有钱。
We know money is not everything, but without money a lot of things can't be done! 我们知道钱不是万能的，It cannot buy the knowledge, time, energy, life, etc. 不过没有钱也是很糟糕的事情，Andy就曾经碰到过。I remembered when I was in college, once I found that I only had one Yuan in my pocket and it was not enough to buy lunch! How awkward I was at that time. You can imagine. Fortunately, one of my best friends gave me a hand and lent me 100RMB.还好是朋友的帮忙，Andy可以度过难关！这位朋友的英文名字叫Catherine, 在此Andy要表示特别的感谢！Thank you indeed for your great help!

2) He is so stingy! 他小气的很！

我的这个朋友给我的帮助让我十分感激，但是如果你碰到的是一个小气鬼，那可就糟糕了，这里我们学习一个句子：He is so stingy! Here it shows that he loves money so much that he even doesn't want to lend any cents to others.那么Andy老师问一个问题，Do you think the person who is stingy is happy in his life? Maybe most of you will say no. I agree, for when he has refused others who may be his friend, he would feel uncomfortable in his inner heart.当你拒绝了帮助别人的时候，你就在朋友当中失去了信任，那么你不会快乐！
所以我一定要再给大家另外一个词汇，那就是generous，慷慨的。当你高兴的把自己的财富和别人分享的时候，你会感到快乐，同时你也会得到回报！Here my suggestion is: Be generous and don't be so stingy!
