中国巴士起火41人死亡

At least 41 people were killed and six injured Friday, when an overloaded bus caught fire in central China.

中国中部地区星期五一辆超载的公共汽车起火，造成至少41人死亡，六人受伤。

China's official Xinhua news agency said 47 people were on board when the 35-seat bus caught fire early Friday in Xinyang City, Henan Province.

中国官方的新华社报道说，这辆35座的巴士上有47人，星期五清晨在河南省信阳起火。

Xinhua said that among the six injured, one person was in critical condition in a hospital in Zhumadian City, while the other five, including the driver, were being treated in a hospital in Xinyang.

新华社说，在受伤的六个人中，一人情况危急，正在驻马店市的一家医院救治。包括司机在内的其他五人在信阳市某医院治疗。

The report said the dead were burned beyond recognition and will have to be identified by DNA testing.

报道说，死者被烧得面目全非，必须经DNA检测才能确认身份。

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
