Jack: Trust me. She’ll keep nagging. She thinks something will go wrong.
Brooke: Don’t tell me she’s been listening to the fortune-teller again.
Jack: You guessed it. She says we have to get married on January 2nd, or we’ll have bad luck.
Brooke: The day we choose to get married could never be an unlucky day.
Jack: My mom just wants everything to be perfect for us.

Brooke: (Sigh!) There’s so much to do and so little time.
Jack: I know. Did your mom double check on the church reservations?
Brooke: Yes. We’re going to be married in my hometown church, the first minute of the new millennium!
Jack: OK…and what about the buffet and the cake? Did your mom call the caterer?
Brooke: All set. And we’re having a red bean cake and dim sum for the Taiwanese guests, just like your mom wanted.
Jack: Great. She’ll be so happy.

Brooke: Did you reconfirm the plane reservations for all the Taiwanese guests?
Jack: Not yet, I was busy getting that videographer who films stuff for the Net.
Brooke: Cool! I can’t believe he agreed to go all the way to Dallas with us!
Jack: Hey! We’re paying for his ticket!
