中文解释

Tony是个有车族了,可是最近三个星期一直步行上班,这究竟是怎么一回事呢?

Tony: You know I have been walking to my work for 3 weeks now?
Tina: Oh, really! I thought you have bought a new car. Are you doing that for exercise?
Tony: Partly. I hope I can tough it out for three months. They say you can fall into the habit after three months.
Tina: Good for you! Just don’t quit. But what about your new car? Is there any other reason not to drive?
Tony: Well, you know this global warming thing, right? It is said car exhaust is the main contributor.
Tina: I heard that too. But you have to drive your car from time to time. Otherwise, it’s not good for the machine.

世博英语脱口秀【26】 迷人的夏日风光 Lovely Summertime

美语朗读
精彩讲解

Summertime In Minnesota Is Lovely!

Some people like living in the Northern states in America because they have four distinct seasons. Summer is extremely hot and winter is freezing cold. Spring is easily distinguishable with the budding trees and blooming flowers, and fall feels like fall because of the pretty leaf colors and the crisp fall air. My favorite season is the summertime. In Minnesota, the state where I grew up, many families own boats and spend all weekend out on the lake. People water-ski, ride on inflatable tubes, and fish from their boats. Sometimes people just “take the boat out for a spin.” It feels so nice to have the wind blowing through one’s hair and to hear the waves splash up against the boat!
