Yi-jun: [Whispering] Oh, no. It looks like we’re late.
Holly: Let’s just sit in the back. We can still hear the service from here.
Yi-jun: There’re so many people here. Where are Rich and Cath and Taylor’s parents?
Holly:They’re probably up front. The preacher’s about to speak. Let’s listen.
Yi-jun: [After the preacher’s eulogy] That was such a touching speech. He must have really known Taylor well.
Holly: Oh, how I wish this all wasn’t happening!

Late that night, Holly calls Taylor’s answering machine

Holly: Taylor, I don’t know if I’ll speak tomorrow, and I had to let you know how I feel. You are my best friend. My life will never be the same without your smile to light my day. [starts crying]
Yi-jun: Don’t hang up, Holly. Keep talking.
Holly: You will always be with me in my heart. When I have a hard day, I’ll think of how you could always make me laugh. There is so much more I want to say to you. Words fail to express all of my emotions. So, I’ll say goodbye to you tomorrow at Wells Church….
Yi-jun:That was beautiful, Holly.

Holly: I’m going for a walk, Yi-jun. I need some time to myself.
Yi-jun:Don’t you want to go to the visiting hours? This sheet says they are tonight.
Holly: I just can’t right now. Everyone will be talking about Taylor and…
Yi-jun:…and maybe that’s what we both need.
Holly: I need to come to grips with his death first. And I also need to prepare a eulogy in case I’m asked to speak tomorrow.
Yi-jun: OK, but don’t forget I’m here for you, and I know how you feel. It’s my loss, too.
