Time and punctuality are interesting things to compare between cultures. In some Latin American countries, if you agree to meet a person for dinner at 6 PM, both people know that really the time agreed on was more like 8 PM. In America, however, tardiness is definitely frowned upon. I remember in primary school being singled out and yelled at for arriving late to school. If you’re late and keep somebody waiting for you, it’s a sign that you don’t respect the people you were meeting. If you keep them waiting for you, you value your time more than the other person’s!
