Many people are comfortable “hopping” from one job to another in America. Why? People become bored after a long period of time working in one profession. Thirty years of doing the same things over and over again can seem extremely boring to many people in America. When you decide to change directions professionally, you say you are ready for “a career change.” Some people undergo several career changes over the course of their lives. Trying new things can be really beneficial. In fact, oftentimes your resume looks better if you have worked in a variety of professions rather than solely in one profession! Each job experience teaches a person new skills that can be transferred to the next job- no matter what it may be.
