Bazaar

Bazaar这个单词在英文报纸里经常出现。作为可数名词，bazaar是指为了某事筹款而进行的义卖，一般来说是为了慈善的目的。比方说：a charity bazaar(一场慈善义卖）。有时这种义卖也会以一种演出的形式出现，然后将所得票款用于慈善事业的。

Shop

Jane is looking for a new coat. She sees one that she likes on a rack.(衣架）
Jane: Excuse me, I'd like to try on（试穿） this coat.
Assistant: Certainly, I think it will fit（合身） you--it's about your size.
Jane: I'll try it on,then.Oh dear, it's too small. The sleeves（衣袖） are too short and it's a bit tight（紧）. The colour doesn't go with（配衬） my shoes,either. I think I'll leave it（我不要了）, thank you.
Jane goes to look at some dresses in the sale（减价中）.
Jane: I'll take this dress,but I haven't got any cash on me（带备现金）. Do you take credit cards（信用卡）.
Assistant:No, but we do accept cheques（支票） if you have a banker's card/cheque card（支票保付卡）.
Jane: Good, then I'll pay by cheque.
So Jane goes to the check-out counter（付款处） to pay for the dress.
