第五十三课 Hot snake 触电的蛇

一、摘要写作

1、摘要练习

分别使用快速阅读法、听写法和合并法练习写摘要。

将合并句子写的摘要贴到会员社区。自己根据课文内容，将可以合并的句子合并，去掉一些细节，篇幅争取控制在50字到60字。

2、继续做两句话概括的练习。

用两句概括，请大家自己做。

从第三十一课开始，我不再提供摘要练习的答案。请大家认真做好摘要练习，这是提高表达能力，进而提高写作能力，特别是围绕中心进行写作的好方法。希望大家坚持，我会在会员社区帮大家修改摘要，并且适当做一些讲评，选出比较好的摘要供大家参考。

二、本课重点：确定写作的范围

从现在起，陆续为大家讲讲写作的一些基本常识和模式，然后，希望大家根据习题做相应的练习。此外，课后的翻译等练习也需要坚持做，需要大家先听完核心课程和语法进阶以后再做，而我对这一部分的讲解相应减少。

My topic at the moment is definitely related to the New Year around the corner. What have I done in 2002? Both achievements and failure. And what am I going to do in the coming year? These are the usual questions if one considers a new year resolution. However, so many people have written so much about it that nobody would be interested in reading about the topic any more, even if what I am going to write is original by accident. So, let’s narrow down the topic. Since most people are interested in English learning here, I should concentrate, therefore, on English learning decisions for 2003. I should set up aims for one year, and objectives month by month. When this schedule is done, I should continue to fill them up with details in terms of different language skills. Then I realize that talking about everything in English learning is absolutely uninteresting and impossible. Well, it’s probably a good idea to focus on writing. Then I will think about how to begin an article, develop the ideas and end the writing with strong statements. Well, there are so many books on writing already. I cannot provide any novel ideas. And generally speaking, my writing is kind of dull. Maybe I should find one tiny spot in writing to write about. How about setting up the frame of an article? After all of the agony, I have finally landed on the topic of this piece: finding what you have to say.

三、作文线索

本课描述的是一场火灾，却没有写火灾的现场，也没有写火灾的后果，而是把范围缩小到火灾的起因，并且是全文一直围绕这个中心来写的。火灾是常见的，写火灾的文章也很多，但这篇很短的文字，确定了一个很小的写作范围，因而读起来很有意思。

如果现在请大家就飞机失事写一篇短文，大家会确定怎样的写作范围呢？请大家把确定范围的过程用中文写出来，然后，按照这个范围，写一个短篇。

四、课后翻译练习

1、我已经抽烟抽了三个小时了，实在抽够了。

2、那个大款朝我脸上扔出了100元钱，转身要离开餐馆。

3、我们劝了她几个小时，但我们没能说服她改变主意。

4、他修这台电视机已经三个多小时了，但还是不能确定究竟是什么原因坏了。
