第九十二课 Asking for trouble 自找麻烦

一、摘要写作

1、摘要练习

分别使用快速阅读法、听写法和合并法练习写摘要。

将合并句子写的摘要贴到会员社区。自己根据课文内容，将可以合并的句子合并，去掉一些细节，篇幅争取控制在50字到60字。

2、继续做两句话概括的练习。

用两句概括，请大家自己做。

从第三十一课开始，我不再提供摘要练习的答案。请大家认真做好摘要练习，这是提高表达能力，进而提高写作能力，特别是围绕中心进行写作的好方法。希望大家坚持，我会在会员社区帮大家修改摘要，并且适当做一些讲评，选出比较好的摘要供大家参考。

二、本课重点：核心句子

这是我自己总结的写作方法之一。先请大家看下面的例子：

1. The child put his jacket on the chair. A classmate was watching. She took the money.
2. The plane took off. The writer opened her briefcase. The story was to make her a millionaire.
3. The glass was empty. The girl watched him. The passenger stood up slowly.
4. The girls were standing in a group. The sun shone. They were staring at something.

故事一
Jack was asked to join the football game when he was passing by the field. So the child put his jacket on the chair and went over. His classmate Tom was not interested in the game and started reading his novel while watching the clothes for him. Just then a girl came over and started a conversation with Tom. After some time, she said goodbye and left. When he was back, Jack found his wallet was gone. Then Tom realized she took the money.
故事二
With parents’ permission, the child put his jacket on the chair and his underwear on the floor. He then switched into a swimming suit while his classmate was watching if any girl was coming. Just then, a girl in red ran over. The boy’s classmate hurriedly picked up the jacket and covered the child’s body, when a wallet fell off. The girl noticed and took the money to them while the child kept shouting, “Go away!”

三、值得学习的句子

1. She was fast asleep.
She was sleeping deeply.
He was holding fast to the door.
He was holding tightly to the door.

2. I hate to interrupt a man when he’s busy working, but would you mind coming with me to the station?
I hate to tell you this, but is it possible for you to stop bugging me at midnight?
I hate to be rude, but could you simply shut up and leave me alone in this room?

3. I don’t think the windows need cleaning at this time of the night.
I don’t think these texts need to be remembered for the test.
