Ladies and gentlemen:
Now that I have to stand up to introduce myself, I will happily admit that I am as nervous as a cat on a hot roof.
Being the newest member of this committee is really difficult. I’ve been listening to all of you discuss the problems that you’ve had in making your sales quotas for the past year. My biggest problem so far has been trying to remember everybody’s name so I won’t embarrass myself by calling Mr. Abe by another’s name.
My name is Henry Lee, and I come from the Tainan office. I’ve been working there for two years in the Import Department. I was chose for work on this committee when Mr. Wang, the former member, retired from our company after 21 years of service.
I’ve studied the reports of past meetings, and I’ve asked Mr. Allen for his guidance in conducting myself here. I hope that I can make a worthwhile contribution to the efforts of this group.

各位先生、各位女士：
既然得站起来自我介绍，我很高兴承认，我实在紧张得坐立难安。
成为这个委员会最新的一员真的很难。我听过你们所有的人讨论去年分配销售配额的问题。到目前为止我最大的问题，就是试着记得每个人的名字，的以我才不会因为把亚伯先生叫成别人而感到困窘。
我的名字是李亨利，来自台南办事处，在那里的进口部门工作了两年。在前一任会员王先生于本公司服务了二十一年退休之后，我才被选来这个委员会工作。
我研究过以往会议的报告，也要求亚伦先生指导我，在这里如何立身处世。我希望能对这个团体努力的成果，提供有价值的贡献。
