Like Abraham Lincoln, James A. Garfield, 20th president of the United States, was born in a log cabin. And like Lincoln, he also was very well-educated. By hard work and natural ability he became a general in the army, a leader in Congress and finally president of the United States.

Garfield also had an interesting talent. Like many people he was ambidextrous: he could write with either hand, right or left. But Garfield's talent was unique. He was able to write two different languages at the same time. He could write Greek with one hand and Latin with the other!
