Writing task 2

If you were given to change, what all changes you would implement in the 21st century to make our world a better living place? Discuss few changes in not less than 250 words.

Example writing:

This new century has a double mission. For one thing, we will continue going high-tech to improve the quality of our lives. For the other, we will make more efforts to live green, reestablishing the ecosystem on the planet. While in modern technology the pace of discovery accelerates at an ever increasing rate, it's also urgent to call for restoration of environmental balance. Our planet is being damaged by human activities such as acid rain, deforestation, shrinking wetlands, air and water pollution, and climate change. It needs mending. Such change must be related to effective eco-solutions.

For more than 150 years, mankind has passed the point of opportunism and entered an era of global protection. If we were given to change, the challenge should be to save the planet. International sectors must join forces to mobilize and start repairing our planet and returning to its ecological and human equilibrium. The success of the change will depend on true equilibrium made possible by an informed and dedicated population. This can happen if we want it to happen. The change we need is correcting the negative effects of modern technology while avoiding further harming the biodiversity on earth.

Measures of change seem coming late, but there is still time to restore ecosystem around the world. We are facing current problems and potential problems. The good news is that we want to clean up the world and get rid of so many drawbacks brought about by terchnological development. For too long we were blinded by the positive side of modern technology and ignored the slowly emerging dark side. We ignored it because, in the infancy of technology, the dark side was not yet discernible such as waste disposal.

It's now clear that we are victims of our own success, drowning in our own garbage. Our mission is make our planet clean in development and green in environment. Fortunately, large-scale efforts around the world seem to have been bringing prospects for the better. The responsibility of change therefore lies with us in the coming decades. The fortunes of many nations will rely on this change. Will the future generations praise our foresight and efforts, or will they look back in anger and dismay at what we once had and what we lost forever?
