中美州是那些喜欢远离喧嚣人群的旅行者的理想之地。对他们而言，那里埋藏着太多的秘密宝藏……

The seven countries of Central American -- Guatemala, Panama, Belize, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Costa Rica -- are full of natural beauty and cultural treasures.

中美洲的七个国家--危地马拉、巴拿马、伯利兹、洪都拉斯、萨尔瓦多、尼加拉瓜和哥斯达黎加，遍布自然美景和文化宝藏。

There are lots of volcanoes（火山） and an exotic（奇特的） animal kingdom to explore（探究）, yet few people outside the region（地区） know of them. A bus travels to the edge of the Masaya craters（火山口） in Nicaragua, an active volcano just 500 meters high. For safety reasons, every traveler should get local（当地的） information from the local tourism（旅行） authority（当局） before climbing a volcano.

Individual（个人的、单独的） travelers can easily find travel information. The long distance buses that connect（连接） all countries in the region are very comfortable with air conditioning（空调） and TV. And if you travel through the villages in small, local rundown（失修破旧的） buses, you will swiftly（迅速地） come into close contact with local inhabitants（居民） and their animals. You are just as likely to have a hen thrust（推挤） into your lap as a small child.

独立的旅游者也能轻易地取得有关旅游资料。带空调和电视的长途汽车非常舒适便捷，是这一地区的跨国交通工具。如果你搭乘的是当地破旧的小型公共汽车，你很快就可以与当地居民和他们的动物亲密接触。很可能会有一只鸡像小孩一样蹿到你的腿上!

【世博读书笔记】

1．exotic意思是“奇特的”或“外国来的”，但和strange foreign等不同的是，exotic强调“从未遇到过”或“异国情调”。如：

奇特的味道
We saw pictures of exotic birds from the jungle of Brazil.
我们看到了来自于巴西热带雨林的各种奇异鸟类的照片。

2．片语come into后面加一个名词，表示“开始……”的意思，如：
come into use开始使用
come into effect开始运转
come into fashion开始时新
come into power掌权

来看一个例句：
This factor doesn't come into play in this case.
这个因素在这里不起任何作用。

for some reasons
由于……原因，为……考虑

for有because of的意思，reason指“理由”，中间的名词或形容词用来修饰reasons，整句话就理解为“由于……原因，为……考虑”。如：

He was forced to leave his homeland for political reasons.
由于政治上的原因，他被迫离开了祖国。

For many reasons the alternating current is more widely.
由于种种原因交流电比直流电用得广泛。

*友情提示：reason通常用复数reasons。
