一、上期参考答案

1、摘要写作

My aunt Jennifer is an actress. She is over thirty years old. She often acts as a young girl on stage. And she will be a girl of seventeen in a new play soon. When she is asked how old she is, she never tells. (51字)

概括型版本：
My aunt Jennifer is an actress at her thirties. She often appears on stage as a young girl, so she never tells anyone how old she is. (27字)

2、作文

本次选用了李聿的作文，略做修改，增加一些句子，去掉不太连贯或不太重要的句子写成。

Jim

My friend Jim is a computer programmer. He makes a lot of money by writing programs. He must be very good at it. In spite of this, he often gets kicked out from his workplace. This time, he lost his job again. He has to find a new job soon. Shortly afterwards, he gets an interview from a famous IT company. He will be requested to have a difficult test. In the computer show by the company, he must finish a program within 30 minutes. I know he will pass the test, but I also know that he must be nervous. If anyone asks him how nervous he is, he always answers, “oh, it must be terrible to do things like that!”

二、摘要写作

1、新的摘要写作方法
从今天开始，我们学习使用新的方法进行摘要写作。方法是快速阅读课文，然后合上书，将你能够记住的主要内容写出来。要注意事件发生的基本信息，如时间、地点、人物、经过、影响等等。要求在50至60字。可以先做这个练习，做完以后再按照下面的，也就是前面一直做的方法，对照原文采用合并句子的方法做一个摘要，然后再比较一下。相信，你会有许多心得的。

2、继续按照前面的合并句子的方法来练习摘要写作。自己根据课文内容，将可以合并的句子合并，去掉一些细节，篇幅争取控制在50字到60字。答案见下期。

3、继续做两句话概括的练习。

用两句概括，先给出后面一句，请大家做出前面一句。答案见下期。

三、本课重点：复合句中的修饰成分

上一课我们谈到了宾语，特别是以宾语从句形式出现的宾语：
1、Someone asked her where we could find her.
如果我们把where看作是动词ask的宾语，那么它所引导的宾语从句we could find her可以看做是这个宾语的修饰成分。同样，我们前面讲过的时间状语起到的作用是修饰句子，表明动作发生的时间，而且，这个时间状语也可以用一个句子来承担，就是所谓的状语从句。当然，状语从句不仅可以表示时间，也可以表示动作的方式、程度，表示原因，表示让步，表示结果等等。
2、After I had had lunch at a village pub, I looked for my bag. After引导的时间状语从句表示look这个动作发生的时间。
3、He passed the examination because he studied very hard. Because引导的原因状语从句表示he passed the examination的原因。
4、He did it exactly as he was told to. As引导的方式状语从句表示he did it的方式。

四、作文线索

本课叙述了在餐馆了发生的一件尴尬的事情，付帐的时候发现钱包不见了，最后的结局有点出人意料，同时也圆满地解决了问题。因为需要准确说明某些动作发生的时间，使用了时间状语从句。此外，本篇课文里又一次使用了对话。
