第二十课 One man in a boat

2、作文

本次选用了宋海春的作文。

“Susan's birthday party will begin at 7 o'clock. There is only 30 minutes left, but I don't have anything to wear." My sister stood in front of the mirror, complaining.
"The party isn't that important," I said, "Your dress will do."
"And I need a necklace. It's in the drawer. Would you please find it for me?" She asked.
I pulled out the drawer in a hurry.
"There is no necklace," I told her, "Where did you leave it last time?"
She thought for a minute.
"I left it in my office!" She cried.
"Perhaps we'd have to forget it." I murmured.
She looked very sad. Then suddenly, she exclaimed, "Oh, I've found it. It 's on top of the TV!"
二、摘要写作

1、摘要练习

分别使用快速阅读法、听写法和合并法练习写摘要。
将合并句子写的摘要贴到会员社区。自己根据课文内容，将可以合并的句子合并，去掉一些细节，篇幅争取控制在50字到60字。答案见下期。

2、继续做两句话概括的练习。

用两句概括，先给出后面一句，请大家做出前面一句。答案见下期。

三、本课重点：动名词做修饰成分

动名词可以做像名词那样使用，既可以做主语，又可以做宾语。而在写作中，常常使用动名词来做修饰成分，有时候单独使用，直接修饰句子中的其他成分，有时候与其他的一些词，如介词，组合起来担当修饰成分。
He stood there, looking at me curiously.
He sat there without saying anything.
Before leaving the room, he turned off the radio.
After having looked at his watch, he hurried to the station.

从以上的例子我们可以看出，动名词短语单独或者与介词组合使用，可以表示一种伴随状态、可以表示谓语动词的方式，也可以作为时间状语修饰谓语动词。使用动名词短语可以丰富表达能力，精确地描述动作或状态。

四、作文线索

本课写的是“独坐孤舟”的乐趣，前面描述钓不到鱼的苦恼，并进一步讲作者什么都钓不到的事实，经过这些铺垫以后，作者才说出自己真正的乐趣所在，平淡的描述顿时生色。这种方法似乎在这本教材里屡见不鲜，值得学习。
