The woman lost her son and got mad.

He is mad with the dog for biting his new shoe.

1.道理，原因

The reason why he did this is not clear yet.

他为什么这样做目前还不清楚。

They departed for no reason.

他们无缘无故就分手了。

2.推理，讲出道理，对某人讲道理

They reasoned out the resolution to this problem.

他们分析出解决这个问题的办法。

He reasoned him out of smoking.

他说服他戒了烟。

3.reasonable 合理的，有道理的

The price is reasonable.

价钱很合理。
