【世博精解】

ignorant means lacking education or knowledge. 是无知的，愚昧的缺少教育或知识的意思。常于of 和in 连用。例如：I am quite ignorant of what his plans are. 我一点也不知道他的计划是什么。我们常说的无知的人，就是an ignorant person。

另外，uneducated, unlearned 也有无知的意思。不同的是，uneducated 是指未受过正规系统教育的, 如:He was uneducated.他未受过正规教育。unlearned是指无学问的，无文化的。例如:He was not unlearned in history.他对历史并非无知。

其实这句话要表达的意思非常明显，要不，怎么说Knowledge is infinite.学无止境呢？
