第六十三课 She was not amused 她并不觉得好笑

一、摘要写作

1、摘要练习

分别使用快速阅读法、听写法和合并法练习写摘要。

将合并句子写的摘要贴到会员社区。自己根据课文内容，将可以合并的句子合并，去掉一些细节，篇幅争取控制在50字到60字。

2、继续做两句话概括的练习。

用两句概括，请大家自己做。

从第三十一课开始，我不再提供摘要练习的答案。请大家认真做好摘要练习，这是提高表达能力，进而提高写作能力，特别是围绕中心进行写作的好方法。希望大家坚持，我会在会员社区帮大家修改摘要，并且适当做一些讲评，选出比较好的摘要供大家参考。

二、本课重点：比较特殊的祈使句

祈使语气是用来表示说话人的建议、请求、命令的，最常见的是这样的句子：
1. Please be careful!
2. Take care.!

3. Why don’t you pay her now?
4. I advice you not to do anything.
5. I suggest you leave right now.

此外，我们有时候也需要转达他人的建议、请求或命令，需要用advice, suggest, tell, ask, request, insist等动词来表示：

6. He’s telling you to be quiet.
7. She asked you to stop seeing her.
8. He insists that you stay for another day.

三、值得学习的句子

1. Jeremy Hampden has a large circle of friends and is very popular at parties.
She has a large circle of friends in the government.
Join the circle of social scientists.

2. Everybody admires him for his great sense of humor.
They admire her for her perfect marriage with the prince charming.
He is most admired for his success in making money.

3. It was a great success.
His first attempt was a great success.
It would be a great success if you could turn it into a movie.

4. To his surprise, she said she hadn’t.
To his delight, everyone appeared at the party.
To her astonishment, her daughter disappeared all of a sudden from the class.

四、课后作文练习

Write about someone who doesn’t have a sense of humor, who always asks “what then” after a story is told.
