第七十课 Red for danger 危险的红色 一、摘要写作 1、摘要练习 分别使用快速阅读法、听写法和合并法练习写摘要。 将合并句子写的摘要贴到会员社区。自己根据课文内容,将可以合并的句子合并,去掉一些细节,篇幅争取控制在50字到60字。 2、继续做两句话概括的练习。 用两句概括,请大家自己做。 从第三十一课开始,我不再提供摘要练习的答案。请大家认真做好摘要练习,这是提高表达能力,进而提高写作能力,特别是围绕中心进行写作的好方法。希望大家坚持,我会在会员社区帮大家修改摘要,并且适当做一些讲评,选出比较好的摘要供大家参考。 二、本课重点:形容词和介词的连用 英文中的介词使用明显比汉语多,而且使用方法也比较灵活,不同的介词往往能够精确地表达作者的意思。我们先来讨论一下形容词和介词连用的一些情况。 1. She was grateful for your big help. 2. You don’t know how grateful she was to you. 3. I was truly grateful to you for your strong support in my campaign. 类似的形容词加介词的用法还有: 4. I am sorry for your test. 5. He is appreciative of your help. 下面的例子更有意思: 6. He is very good at cooking. 7. He is good for you. 8. He is very good with his colleagues. 9. He was good about letting us use his car. 常见的形容词和介词的搭配比较固定,需要记住。 三、值得学习的句子 1. A drunk suddenly wandered into the middle of the ring. A drunk suddenly appeared behind wheels. They wandered in the street. The middle of a meeting, of a party, etc. the ring: the ring you wear, the ring for bullfight, the ring for boxing, etc. 2. The drunk was unaware of the danger. He was aware of the risk in taking this new job offer. He was fully aware of the illegal operations in this region. 3. It suddenly caught sight of the drunk. She caught sight of her daughter around the corner. She spotted the criminal in the park. 4. The crowd broke into cheers.
