今天起开始整理“put”这个基本动词。

1. 我把书放在桌子上。

I put the book on the table.

2. 你盐放的太多了。

You put too much salt.

3. 如果你不把心放在工作上，工作就不会干好。

You won't succeed with the work if you don't put your mind to it.

4. 不要都归咎于我。

Don't put all blame on me.

5. 国会对总统施加很大压力迫他辞职。

下面我们来看看美国人对于诸如肯德鸡，麦当劳这类的快餐食品是如何看待的：

McDonalds and Kentucky Fried Chicken are called fast-food restaurants. Their purpose is to serve food quickly. Although some Americans realize that fast food is no the best food for their health, many Americans still eat at these types of restaurants for several reasons. First of all, in many families both parents work, so there is not a lot of time to cook dinner in the evening. Therefore many families go out to eat at these restaurants because they are fast and easy. When people are in a hurry it is very easy for them pick up a hamburger or some chicken. But no one considers these types of restaurants as "fine American food".

麦当劳和肯德鸡是快餐厅。它们的目的是迅速供应食物。尽管有些美国人意识到快餐食物对健康不是很好，许多美国人还是在这种餐厅吃饭。这样做有很多原因：首先，在许多家庭里父母都要上班，因此晚上就没有多少时间做晚餐，所以许多家庭会到这类餐厅去吃饭，因为它们又快又方便。当人们赶时间时就常常会买个汉堡包或是一些鸡肉。但没有人会把这类餐厅里的食物看作是“优秀的美国食物”。
