IELTS Writing Topic
Writing task 2

Some people think that men and women have different qualities. Therefore, some certain jobs are suitable for men and some jobs are suitable for women. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Example writing:

Men and women are created equal but not the same. Males and females have different biological differences and therefore different missions in life. Some jobs are more suitable for men while some jobs are more suitable for women. The gender issue, in terms of job opportunities and income disparities, must take its natural course. The evolution in this respect needs time which prevents everything from happening at once. One fact, however, will never have to change: the charm that belongs to women and the strength, to men. This fact leads us to believe that men and women should only do what they do best, respectively.

Women are superior to men in caring and nurturing and other jobs related to domesticity. Because of their charm, they are more often than not capable of using men to do what they want. Thus, those women who seek to be equal to men in strength lack correct ambition. For example, in the fields of administrative and secretarial workplace, females outnumber males about four to one. The number of female presidents and prime ministers, and of managers and senior officials, is also up and rising. There is no way to stop women from replacing men in whatever jobs in which talents and abilities are concerned and strength is not essential. If at this time there are still more men in charge, it's because women have other jobs no less valuable to do. Being women, they may leave their jobs or their labor force when they become married or pregnant. And this is also part of women's charm.

In comparison, men have traditionally been viewed as the breadwinners or workers due to their strength. The macho-image is active and aggressive. Some jobs may exclusively belong to men. On the other hand, passive and charming, women need not apply for such jobs as miners, sailors, firefighters, ironsmiths or even butchers. The traditional stereotypes are as good today as they used to be. The important thing is that men and women are happy in their different roles, even though there are obvious or hidden disparities between individuals as a result of gender.

People of the two sexes are about equal in pursuit of happiness. Oddly enough, there is a tendency among female activitists playing up the gender issue as if men and women were at war. They demand more equalities in job opportunities and similar incomes for similar qualifications. Their claim in part is understandable. Nevertheless, the quality of employment depends as much on biological differences as on qualification similarities. Of course, this issue is worthy of further debate. Time will tell. What is clear is that charm is women's strength just as strength is men's charm. It seems that neither is the weak gender.
