obedience means the quality or condition of being obedient.是指服从顺从、服从的品性或条件的意思。服从命令，我们可以说：obedience to an order。再如：She showed great obedience. 她表现很顺从。还有我们常说的盲从，就是blind obedience。

我们再来看一下submission这个词。Submission是顺从，服从的意思。例如：unquestioning submission to somebody’s will 绝对服从某人的意志.这个词常用的固定搭配如下：

be frightened into submission
吓倒

cow sb. into submission
用恐吓手段使某人屈服

My submission is that ... (=I submit that ...; in my submission)
我的意见是..., 我认为....

with all due submission
必恭必敬地
