Burn a hole in one’s pocket & Down-to-earth2010-04-10 23:42:19 来源:世博英语
钱啊钱!you(money) is burning a hole in my pocket! When I lent Tom two thousand dollars I was sure that money would burn a hole in his pocket. If money burns a hole in your pocket, you want to spend it as soon as you can. In Canada, when you see something at an ad that tells you things are just 20 percent, it doesn’t mean that those things are 20 percent of the original price, but means 20 percent off. Even so, when you go into the stores, money will be burning a hole in your pocket. My father is a very down-to-earth person, he is straightforward, and never tries to be someone else he’s not. All over the world, people love to go to the movies, what kinds of movies do you want to see? I like the movies that are down-to-earth. More down-to-earth, more touching!
